How it works
Weight = volume in cubic feet × density. Normal reinforced concrete runs about 150 lb per cubic foot, which is 4,050 lb — just over 2 US tons — per cubic yard. Plain concrete without rebar is nearer 145 lb/cu ft, structural lightweight around 115, and broken-up rubble averages lower than solid concrete because of the air gaps between pieces.
